Harrington Racetrack and Casino

Harrington Racetrack and Casino is a popular entertainment venue in Harrington, Delaware. During their expansion the casino retained Judge Audio Visual Solutions to supply and install over 40 LCD displays, 28 zones of audio, digital signage, an AMX control system and a camera system. Each of the 40 LCD displays throughout the facility are controlled by a remote IP Internet access in which an internal timer automatically controls the displays power and sets the channels in the morning. In addition, many of the displays are being utilized as digital signage and advertising locations. Also installed was an in-house RF cable system consisting of 32 channels to broadcast a combination of 18 channels of live races, 10 channels of cable television, and 4 channels of marketing information supplied by a Paltronics digital signage system.

The 26 zones of audio were installed and controlled by BSS London Blue 80's and Blue 32's. Setup inside the facility are a combination of JBL control 28ts and JBL control 26cts powered by Crown amplifiers, and setup outside the facility are outdoor Community 70V speakers for welcoming message playback. The system has automatic volume control that utilizes microphones to sense the ambient noise in each zone and then adjusts the zones volume to ensure clear & intelligible speech. It also permits the staff to regularly update the recorders with upcoming events via the facility LAN. It has the capability of sending any audio source, to any zone, by changing the channel of RF tuners feeding the zones.

Within the sports bar, buffet and steak house Judge Audio Visual Solutions installed the AMX control system with CV5 touchpanels, controlling the televisions through the Extron IP link Boxes, the audio volume through the BSS London, and the music selection through Extron's RF tuners. The entire system can be controlled through web pages that are accessible via Internet anywhere in the world. The facility also includes a live entertainment area for performers equipped with complete front of house audio, monitor systems, and lighting systems.

The completed integration of audio visual solutions within Harrington Racetrack and Casino presents a diverse venue with dining, gaming, racing and entertainment for all ages.
